A body-centred approach to healing that incorporates some or all of the following modalities: breathwork, movement, mindfulness, meditation, visualization and sensation awareness.
An integrative, body-oriented approach to emotional and psychological health.
These sessions utilizes somatic therapy techniques to support the regulation of the nervous system and the resolution of trauma-related symptoms. Grounded in neuroscience and informed by modalities such as Somatic Experiencing, sensorimotor psychotherapy, and polyvagal theory, this approach recognizes the body as a central component in processing and integrating emotional experiences.
Clients are guided through a structured process of body awareness, interoception (internal sensing), and mindful tracking of physical sensations associated with stress or trauma. The aim is to facilitate physiological self-regulation, increase resilience, and enhance overall emotional functioning.
This therapy may be appropriate for individuals experiencing symptoms of PTSD, anxiety, depression, chronic stress, chronic pain or illness, or dissociation. Sessions are collaborative and paced according to the client’s capacity, ensuring a safe and contained therapeutic environment.
No prior experience with somatic modalities is required. Intake and treatment planning are conducted to tailor interventions to individual clinical goals.
