Individual Counseling

At Choosing Health Counselling we work with people who find themselves feeling lost, anxious or depressed. If you’re in a place where things are not how you imagined, We offer a non-judgemental, empathetic and goal-oriented approach to counselling.

Common issues that are brought into therapy include anxiety, depression, major life transitions, trauma, grief, relationship issues, chronic pain, caregiver fatigue and more.

Couples Counseling

Our couples therapists are trained in the Gottman Method of Couples Therapy and/or Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy to support you in strengthening & improving your relationships.

We also support those who've made the difficult decision to separate to do so in a way that is respectful, kind, and strives to impart minimal damage to each other and/or children.

EMDR Therapy

EMDR is an evidence-based therapy designed to help people heal from the emotional distress caused by traumatic or overwhelming life experiences. Unlike traditional talk therapy, EMDR works by helping the brain reprocess stuck memories so they can be stored in a more adaptive, less distressing way.

EMDR is widely used to treat PTSD, anxiety, depression, and other trauma-related symptoms. It’s a structured, eight-phase approach that moves at your pace, with a strong emphasis on safety, stabilization, and resourcing before processing begins.
