Couples Counselling - If Not Now, then When?
At Choosing Health Counselling we are very passionate about sharing evidence-based practices for our clients. Gottman Method Couples Counselling offers sound advice to help you heal, support, and thrive in your most important relationships.
Virtual Couples Counselling for Residents of Ontario with Délia Bagi
Délia offers virtual couples therapy for residents of Ontario.
Following the Gottman Method, your initial session(s) will be one or two assessment session(s) of 80 minutes. These are followed by one-on-one individual sessions where each partner meets with the therapist to share their personal insights, narrative and experiences.
The couple will then be invited to complete an online assessment which provides Délia with extensive information about you as a couple. She will learn the strengths of your relationship as well as the challenges - The areas where you and your partner are aligned and those where you may not see eye-to-eye. She will learn valuable information about how you handle the challenges most couples face - from communication challenges, to conflict - and how you navigate other issues such as finances, extended family, mental health, drug and alcohol use, household chores, parenting, sex, and more.
Once she’s obtained all of this information, she will create a treatment plan to support you and your partner and to begin giving you the tools that will allow you to master your relationship. Gottman refers often to the Masters (vs the disasters!) of relationships and what they’re doing right to support their most important partnership.
